If like us watching Steven Spielberg’s The Post left you wanting to see Alan J. Pakula’s All the President’s Men on the big screen again, then now’s your chance as BanterFlix has teamed up with the Imagine Festival of Ideas and Politics to screen the film at the Strand Arts Centre on Wednesday 14th March.

Pakula’s film documents the investigations by Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein into the Watergate scandal during the early 1970s, a scandal that ultimately led to the downfall of the Nixon Presidency.

In a relatively short period of time, the term ‘fake news’ has evolved from a social media phenomenon into an angry political slur, one that threatens the integrity of the press in today’s digital era, films like The Post and All The President’s Men remind us of the importance of good journalism as a means to hold those in political authority accountable for their actions.

Before the screening, a member of the BanterFlix team will introduce the film.
