The Intouchables, inspired by a true story, tells the story of Philippe (François Cluzet) a Parisian astristocat who is left severely paralysed after a paragliding accident and forced to hire a live-in carer to help him with this day-to-day needs. He hires Driss (Omar Sy), a young man from the projects who doesn’t really want the job in the first place. Overtime an unlikely, but close friendship soon develops between the two.

Nine weeks after its release in France, The Intouchables became the second highest grossing feature at the French box-office, just behind the 2008 film Welcome to the Sticks. Despite the seemingly tough subject matter, it’s a wonderfully uplifting feature, that’s genuinely funny and charming.

If you are sceptical for French movie don’t be for this one … it is a must see movie
