Film Devour returns to the Black Box in Belfast’s Cathedral quarter on Tuesday 28 January. Returning for the twelfth time, the short film festival organized by local filmmaker Brian Mulholland has become a wonderful showcase of the considerable cinematic talent Northern Ireland has to offer.
Film Devour continues to go from strength to strength, creating a fantastic platform for local filmmakers to screen their material in front of a live audience. From raw first time shorts to more established films with a budget, the ethos of the festival is to showcase everything to everyone.
With 16 films already announced and each capped at 15 minutes in length there promises to be something for everyone on the night. From comedy to horror, the night boasts a truly eclectic mix of filmmaking talent in a great friendly atmosphere. The evening is also a great opportunity for aspiring actors, directors and screenwriters to network and exchange ideas.
Doors open at 7pm, with £4 admission. The screenings will commence from 8pm, with a short interval half-way. The Black Box’s bar will be open throughout the night, so come out and support local talent, but we recommend you get down early and secure yourself a seat for the night, because it’s going to be busy.
