Film Devour returns to the Black Box in Belfast’s Cathedral quarter on Wednesday 10th September. Returning for the 14th time, the event organized by local filmmaker Brian Mulholland has become a wonderful showcase of the burgeoning cinematic talent Northern Ireland has to offer.
Devour continues to go from strength to strength and has become a fantastic platform for local filmmakers to screen their material in front of a live audience. From raw first time shorts to more established films with bigger budgets, the ethos of the festival is to showcase everything to everyone. Submissions for the event are now open, any filmmakers looking to screen their material should get in touch ASAP via the festival’s website.
From comedy to horror, the night boasts a truly eclectic mix of filmmaking talent in a great friendly atmosphere with something for everyone. The evening is also a great opportunity for aspiring actors, directors and screenwriters to network and exchange ideas.
Doors open at 7pm, with £5 admission. The screenings will commence from 8pm, with a short interval half-way. The Black Box’s bar will be open throughout the night, so come out and support local talent.
