“Zed’s dead, baby. Zed’s dead!”
FOLLOWING their hugely successful Titanic themed weekend on-board the SS. Nomadic earlier this year, the Pop up Film Club are back again and they’ve lined up another fantastic series of film screenings for September later this year. Teaming up with Jameson NI they’ll be taking over Belfast’s T13 for a weekend dedicated to filmmaker Quentin Tarantino.
From Friday 18th until Sunday 20th September they’ll be brining three of Tarantino’s classics alive in the City’s Titanic Quarter. First up there’ll be a midnight screening of From Dusk Till Dawn on Friday evening, although directed by Robert Rodriguez, Tarantino stars in the movie and also wrote its screenplay.
Then on Saturday evening (7.30pm) they’ll be showing the director’s breakthrough movie Pulp Fiction, the film which won him his first Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. Finally on Sunday night (7.30pm) they’ll wrap things up by showing his gritty heist-gone-wrong feature, Reservoir Dogs.
Throughout the weekend viewers will be treated to a truly unique and immersive viewing experience for these three cult favourites as T13 is transformed into a combination of Pulp Fiction’s ‘Jack Rabbit Slims’, From Dusk till Dawn’s ‘Titty Twister Night Club’ and even the iconic warehouse from Reservoir Dogs. There’ll be food, drink and music along with exclusive Jameson spot prizes for the best fancy dress costumes each night.
Tickets can be purchased from the Pop Up Film Club’s website-prices start at £10 for each individual screenings or £23 pound for a weekend ticket, which includes all three movies. Admission include a Free Jameson’s cocktail upon arrival.
