Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre Film Screening – The Third Man (02/08/2014)

THE Roe Valley Arts & Cultural centre will be screening the Academy Award winning thriller The Third Man on Saturday 2 August at 2pm. Carol Reed’s feature is hailed as one of the best films ever made, praised for it’s atmospheric cinematography, fantastic performances, and wonderful musical score.

Orson Welles stars as the enigmatic Harry Limes, tracked down by his childhood friend Holly Martins (Joseph Cotten) in Post-war Vienna. What Martins uncovers is betrayal, intrigue and danger. Directed by Reed, with a screenplay written by acclaimed writer Graham Greene, with Welles in the lead role, this film can do no wrong and is just as gripping now as it was on its first release in 1949.

The Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre is a superb facility situated at the heart of Limavady town. A flagship venue for the Limavady Borough Council since it opened in October 2010. The centre provides a dynamic cultural programme of activities throughout the year, including the very best of national and international theatre, music, visual arts and heritage exhibitions, film and engaging creative learning opportunities.

Tickets for this screening cost £3 and can be purchased directly from Centre’s website or by contacting their box-office directly on 02877760650.
