HERE at Banterflix we may be a little obsessed by all things cine, but we’re always happy to show our support for a good cause even if it might be non-film related. On Tuesday 11 February at the Voodoo Bar Belfast, Seize the Day NI presents a night of music from some of the most exciting local artists, all in the name of charity so you can rock out for a good cause.
I am the Grasshopper, Venus Effect, Third Degree and Pete McAuley will all take to the stage to help to raise money for Helping Hand. A charity established to provide equipment, fund research and support the needs of children and their parents at the Royal Victoria Hospital for Sick Children.
Along with showcasing their own material on the night, each band will also be covering classic songs from the expansive back-catalogue of some of Northern Ireland’s most iconic musical acts. From the Undertones, Snow Patrol, Ash, and Therapy, the concert will highlight the wonderfully diverse talent that has emerged from the province over the years.
For anyone who appreciates local talent and the best live music NI has to offer, then this will be an unmissable event. Doors open at 9pm with a suggested £3 charity donation on the door, there will also be a raffle on the night with an opportunity to win signed merchandise from some of Northern Ireland’s best bands.
