The BanterFlix CineCast 12 October 2014: Annabelle, 71 and Ida Reviews

ON this week’s show CineCast regulars Jim and Richard are joined by local film critics Neil Sedgewick and Robert J.E Simpson as they cast their eyes over some of the week’s hottest movie news and latest cinematic releases.

Thanks to Movie House Cinemas Jim was able to review Annabelle, John Leonetti’s pseudo-prequel to The Conjuring, which is now on general release throughout the UK. He also reviewed Paweł Pawlikowski’s stylish black and white feature Ida, which will be showing at the Queen’s Film Theatre until the 16th October. Robert shared his thoughts on Yann Demange’s gritty Northern Irish set survival thriller 71, which is also now on general release.

As usual we also had a look at some of the cine related events going on locally throughout the Province over the next few weeks.
