The BanterFlix CineCast 22 November: Parkland and All is Lost Review

WELCOME back to the latest edition of the light-hearted, clip-filled show that is the BanterFlix CineCast. As usual Jim, Mat and Richard have their usual, often off-topic discussion on all things cine.

We cast our eyes over the hottest movie news, have a glance at the films topping the UK box-office and pick out a film to look out for on our regular feature, trailer-watch.  Not forgetting our weekly Star Wars update.

Richard previews an array of events happening locally across Northern Ireland, over the next few weeks.

Thanks to the Movie House Dublin Road, we review Peter Landesman’s JFK assassination drama Parkland, released in time for the 50th anniversary of the American President’s death. We also reviewed  J.C. Chandor’s nautical set drama  All is Lost, starring Robert Redford, which opened this year’s Belfast Cinemagic 12-25 year old program.

As usual we’ve picked out a few TV movies to look out for and discussed last week’s Netflix Corner Movie choice, Cristian Mungiu’s 2012 Romanian drama, Beyond the Hills.

Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram by simply searching for BanterFlix. If you’re a local filmmaker or you’ve got an event you’d like to plug then contact us directly at Banterflix@gmail.com.
