THE Takeover Film Festival returns for the seventh time later this month with an eclectic programme which includes exclusive festival preview screenings, NI premieres, documentaries, live music, shorts and a day of anime events. Organized by the QFT’s youth panel, this year’s programme will be running from Friday 19th February until Sunday 21 February.
This year’s programme will open with a screening of King Jack, Felix Thompson’s Tribeca-award winning feature is powerful coming of age story that explores the pain of growing up for its central character Jack, fantastically played by Charlie Plummer. The Festival will then close on Sunday evening with a screening of Shunji Iwai animated feature The Case of Hana and Alice, to coincide with their day of programming dedicated to all things anime.
