Forget the Sun! Forget Time!  Forget Your Memories!

Join BanterFlix on ‘I Forgot Day’ at the Beanbag Cinema Belfast as we screen the director’s cut of Alex Proyas’ 1998 feature, Dark City.

Released a year before The Matrix hit cinemas, many critics and viewers have noted the narrative similarities between the two films, but there are also elements of Terry Gilliam’s Brazil and Fritz Lang’s Metropolis on display within Proyas’ atmospheric neo-noir Sci-Fi feature.

What’s It All About?

The film stars Rufus Sewell, Kiefer Sutherland, Jennifer Connelly, and William Hurt. Sewell plays John Murdoch, an amnesiac man who finds himself suspected of murder. Murdoch attempts to discover his true identity and clear his name, whilst on the run from the police and a mysterious group known as the ‘Strangers’.
