Film Hub NI in association with our BFI Spotlight initiative are delighted to bring you a season of Open Air Cinema Screenings across Newry, Mourne and Down this Summer.
They have partnered up with some fantastic local organisations to bring you an eclectic mix of classics, musicals, big blockbusters and family films alongside independent and locally made films as you and your family can enjoy an unforgettable cinema experience!

Oscar nominated back in 2021, the dazzling & beguiling Wolfwalkers is an animated film from the embarrassingly talented Kilkenny-based Cartoon Saloon that also gave us The Secret Of Kells and Song Of The Sea. The third in their “Irish Folklore Trilogy,” this richly textured and beautifully drawn, at times Ghibli-inspired animation is hauntingly good.
Wolfwalkers
Set in 1650, in a time of superstition & magic, when wolves are seen as demonic and nature an evil to be tamed, a young apprentice hunter, Robyn, comes to Ireland with her father to wipe out the last pack. But when Robyn saves a wild native girl, Mebh, their friendship leads her to discover the world of the Wolfwalkers.
