Kinds of Kindness

Kinds of Kindness is a triptych fable, following a man without choice who tries to take control of his own life; a policeman who is alarmed that his wife who was missing-at-sea has returned and seems a different person; and a woman determined to find a specific someone with a special ability, who is destined to become a prodigious spiritual leader.

Featuring the pitch black comic stylings which have become characteristic of his collaborations with co-writer Efthmis Filippou (previously Dogtooth and The Lobster), Lanthimos explores themes of love and obsession across a series of surreal and (occasionally) disturbing vignettes, which are sure to both rouse and exhilarate audiences in equal measure.

Co-starring Oscar® nominees Willem Dafoe, Hong Chau and Jesse Plemons (winner of Best Actor at this year’s Cannes Film Festival).
