Join BanterFlix at the Beanbag Cinema as we celebrate ‘Star Wars Day’ with a screening of Mel Brooks’ 1987 feature, Spaceballs.
Brooks’ film plays out as a parody the original Star Wars trilogy but also pokes fun at many other sci-fi franchises such as Star Trek, Alien and the Planet of the Apes films.
What’s it all About
Starring Brooks, Bill Pullman, John Candy and Rick Moranis, the film also features Daphne Zuniga, Dick Van Patten, and the voice of Joan Rivers.
Pullman plays Lone Starr, a rogue star pilot and his trusty sidekick Barf (John Candy), who must come to the rescue of Princess Vespa (Daphne Zuniga) and save the galaxy from a ruthless race of beings known as Spaceballs.
