The Haunting (1963)

Don’t worry ‘Big Liam’ isn’t anywhere to be seen, we aren’t screening Jan de Bont’s terrible 1999 version of the film, but Robert Wise’s atmospheric original.

Adapted from Shirley Jackson’s novel The Haunting of Hill House, Wise’s film depicts the experiences of a small group of people who’ve been invited by paranormal investigator Doctor John Markway to investigate Hill House, which is supposedly haunted.

We’re delighted to be screening this film as part of the Dark Hedges Movie Club,  so come on down, grab a beanbag and enjoy the movie.
