DESCRIPTION:Join Fright Club NI for another fun Fright Club evening as they screen John Landis’ iconic 1981 horror An American Werewolf in London starring David Naughton\, Griffin Dunne and Jenny Agutter. \n\n\n\nNaughton and Dunne star as two American tourists backpacking their way through the English moors when they are attacked by a vicious wolf that changes their lives forever. Agutter plays a friendly nurse who becomes entangled in their plight. \n\n\n\nAn American Werwolf in London is a seminal piece of 80s cinema that used groundbreaking new make-up and prosthetic special effects techniques to create one of the most mind-blowing onscreen transformations in cinema. Thanks to the legendary Rick Baker\, the work still stands up today. \n\n\n\nIt has its funny moments and despite Landis’ claim that he didn’t specifically try to bring humour to the picture\, it is often hailed as being the Greatest horror-comedy of all time.
