On the Pulse

Cinemagic’s ‘On the Pulse’ short film festival returns for its third year and runs digitally due to the Covid pandemic from Monday 15th March to Wednesday 31st March.

The festival, funded by the Department for Communities through Northern Ireland Screen, is a celebration of the short film genre and this online programme of unmissable films for children, families, schools, young adults and young filmmakers, as well as a film surgery and masterclass and q&a programmes for aspiring film and television creators.

Film enthusiasts can register for the Jury panel with film packages for 8+, 12+ and 15+ year olds to watch brand new international short films, participate in film review sessions, and choose the winning films of the programme! Tickets can be booked through Cinemagic’s website.

“The programme has been designed to motivate, educate and inspire young people. We have programmed a contemporary season of the very best international short films for young audiences as well as showcasing shorts made by local filmmakers. The Jury panel opportunity offers access to diverse storytelling as well as stimulating debate and discussion. ‘On The Pulse’ will also illustrate the importance of short filmmaking in the development of practical skills and in the development of sustainable careers in the creative industries”.
