Get your fishnets and stockings ready for a night of debauchery as BanterFlix teams up with the Belfast Film Festival to screen the campest cult classic of them all, The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Halloween night at the Black Box Belfast as part of the BFI Musicals! The Greatest Show on Screen season.

Jim Sharman’s film tells the story of Brad and Janet, a newly engaged couple who end up by chance at the castle of Dr Frank-N-Furter on a stormy night after their car breaks down.

It just so happens that on this night the self-proclaimed ‘sweet transvestite from Transsexual, Transylvania’ is hosting a party to celebrate the unveiling of his latest creation, a muscular Adonis called Rocky, a perfect male specimen who will bring him absolute pleasure.

As the night goes on our straight-faced lovebirds find themselves swept up in an evening of music and dance as their eyes are opened to a world of kink and perverted pleasure and their innocence is lost along the way.

There’ll be prop kits on hand to help get the audience in the mood for doing the time warp again and make sure to dress to impress on the night as there’s a prize on offer for the best costume. Don’t worry if you’re a Rocky Horror virgin– don’t be scared, we won’t bite! Well not unless you want us to!

Doors will be open from 8:30 pm and the night kicks off around 9 pm with a pre-show costume contest before the film begins.

Screening as part of BFI Musicals! The Greatest Show on Screen, a UK-wide film season supported by National Lottery, BFI Film Audience Network and ICO. bfimusicals.co.uk
